1973. Fresh-off-the-boat Irene joins her childhood sweetheart Everton in London and the two quickly try to adjust to their new life together. However, Prime Minister Edwards Heath’s announcement of a Three-Day Week means a long and difficult season. Set their tiny room in Peckham where blossoming friendship with the new landlord David also threatens the likelihood of our young couple’s marriage to make it through Winter. 

An independent go-getter, depressed drifter, and struggling music maker, all try to make something of themselves in a new city set to break them.
